Rory Gallagher is arguably Cork's most famous musical export selling over 30 million albums worldwide. Jimi Henrix is said to have hailed Rory as the best guitarist in the world - his mind-blowing blues solos as good as anything the legedary Seattle rock guitarist could produce at the time.
Corkonians are immensely proud of Rory's legacy naming a square in the city centre 'Rory Gallagher Place' in his memory.
Cork City Library on Grand Parade also exhibits one of Rory's guitars in a glass case which is a must-see for fans.
